Don't Miss Out On This Great
2nd Annual Event!
Headliners this year are Buncombe Turnpike, who will be
releasing this summer a new cd called “Ditch Diggin’ Blues”.
While they are well known in the Asheville area, they are excited to be
one of 50 groups that will be playing at the upcoming Brisol Rhythm &
Roots Reunion festival. Mama Said and The Dollar Brothers Band
along with a host of other great pickers will open for Buncombe Turnpike.
Opening the stage at noon are “Marie Reid & Rick Edmisten (Duo)",
Fire Creek and Unspoken Tradition will follow, and then the
headliners will begin. We are also very happy that Josh Hudson
will join us again this year and he’ll be picking on the porch.
We will also feature a number of artisans displaying their original
crafts, including Jewelry, clothing, pottery, pencil & acrylic art,
handbags, scarves and a massage therapist, to name but a few of the artisans.
Our “Field of Screams” returns with longer hours starting at
noon until 4:00 p.m. and more games for young and old. Along with
our bocce ball contest, corn hole toss and, volleyball, we’re adding hillbilly
golf and tug-of-war. NEW this year will be a petting zoo for the
kids, compliments of Harvest Works.
Another NEW feature this year will be a host of wineries.
We are excited to be able to showcase this industry, including Buffalo
Creek from Fallston, WoodMill Winery from Vale & Southern Charm from
Lincolnton.
There’s an array of food vendors for your convenience, but you are also
welcome to bring your picnic basket, along with chairs and umbrellas. We’ve
addressed the sound system this year and are pleased that A Sound Experience
will help blast out the bluegrass sounds from our pasture.
This is a rain or shine event.
